JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The Mississippi House voted overwhelmingly Thursday to keep Medicaid alive beyond this coming weekend, when the program has been set to expire. However, the House is holding on to the bill for now after some lawmakers asked to reconsider the 93-23 vote to pass it. In addition to the possibility of another House vote, House Bill 1 also must pass the Senate before it could go to the governor. The House did not immediately try to set the Medicaid budget or to renew a hospital tax that helps pay for it. Republican Gov.
